Felix Ventures Officers 2017-2018

President - Jose Armenta

Jose Armenta, class of 2018, has been in the program for about two years and half and joined to make new friends and new connections.

 

The President is the student leader responsible for guiding Felix Ventures members to accomplish the program’s set goals. The President will lead officers to fulfill their responsibilities in planning, preparing and executing all F.V. activities. The President is the student leader who represents and reinforces, primarily through example, the Felix Ventures philosophies and ideas. The President is the student representative of Felix Ventures and takes responsibility for the actions, positive or negative, of its members as a program. The President must be positive, enthusiastic and fair in order to help create a welcoming, fun and rewarding environment.

Excutive Vice President - Andrea Chavez

Inspired by her older brother, Andrea Chavez has been in the program for four years and joined for the adventures. She is grateful for the friends she has met and they will forever be in her heart.

The Executive Vice President is a part of the Presidential support system which is responsible for helping the President make the best decisions for the program. The Executive Vice President will help create and maintain a positive and productive environment that promotes Officers and Members to participate while following the Code of Conduct. The Executive Vice President will serve as the right hand of the President and should be prepared to take the role of President whenever needed.

Administrative Vice President - Phung Vu

Phung Vu has been in the program for four years and joined to make new friends and new experiences. She wanted to join a club that was more outgoing.

 

The Administrative Vice President is part of the Presidential support system responsible in assisting F.V. Officers in completing their tasks. The Administrative Vice President’s primary role is in monitoring the progress of fellow Officers in their duties and providing assistance and notifying the President and Executive V.P. when assistance is needed. The Administrative V.P.’s secondary role will serve as the left hand of the President, assist in leftover work and should be prepared to take the role of President whenever needed.

WOHS Liaison - Destiny Avalos

Destiny Avalos has been in the program for two years and joined for the similarity aspect it had with Girls Scouts. She loves what the program stands for as well as the car camping trips. 

 

The Liaison is in charge of helping Workman High School (Administrators, Teachers and Staff) recognize and understand the importance of Felix Ventures to W.O.H.S. students. The W.O.H.S Liaison will maintain a close relationship with W.O.H.S. staff and programs to help avoid scheduling conflicts, provide mutual support and to inform staff of our activities and their success.

Treasurer - Karla Alcala

Karla Alcala has been in the program for three years and joined since she was interested in camping. Later, she found that she was capable of doing high adventure and other survival skills. She has met many people and established friendships in ways she couldn't imagine. She is forever grateful she walked into the Felix Venture office.

The Treasurer is responsible of overseeing the management and reporting of Felix Ventures finances. The Treasurer will work with the Directors, on a weekly basis, to implement cost saving, fundraising, and financial managing strategies to keep F.V. financially sound.

High Adventure - Andrew Moreno

Andrew Moreno joined Felix Ventures because he was interested in trying out camping. He recalls that it took him a while to finally get the courage to sign up and it was one of the best decisions he has ever made. He is happy he has met a lot of new friends and made many amazing memories.

High Adventure V.P. is in charge of introducing F.V. members to exciting new adventures that will push them to their limits. The High Adventure V.P. will lead Venturers through their final preparations for our Summer Week Long Backpacking Adventure. The High Adventure V.P. must maintain the level of participation from Car camping activities to ensure that Venturers use the skills- acquired throughout the year. The High Adventure V.P. will also work on improving activities and teaching Venturers to have fun in a manner that is consistent with the highest camping, backpacking and wilderness ethics.

High Adventure - Jackie Alvarez

Jackie Alvarez has been in the program for two years. She was inspired by her older brother, who would show her pictures of him going camping. It looked like a lot of fun and she decided she wanted to experience everything herself.

High Adventure V.P. is in charge of introducing F.V. members to exciting new adventures that will push them to their limits. Car Camping - Aimee Pereyra

Aimee Pereyra has been in the program for two years and joined to learn and explore. She is grateful for the friendships she has created.

 

The Car Camping V.P. is in charge of introducing Venturers to fun filled overnight activities where they can take on responsibilities that help build confidence and promotes their independence. The Car Camping V.P. will make sure that all Venturers enjoy themselves while conducting themselves in a manner consistent with the highest camping ethics.

Car Camping - Karla Alcala

The Car Camping V.P. is in charge of introducing Venturers to fun filled overnight activities where they can take on responsibilities that help build confidence and promotes their independence. The Car Camping V.P. will make sure that all Venturers enjoy themselves while conducting themselves in a manner consistent with the highest camping ethics.

Cultural and Fine Arts - Julia Magaway

Julia Magaway has been in the program for three years and joined because she wanted to get closer to her friends and create another family. She is a part of the class of 2018. 

 

The Cultural & Fine Arts V.P. is in charge of exposing Venturers to different forms of entertainment, expressions and history from all over the world. The Cultural & Fine Arts V.P. will create strategies to help Venturers realize the importance of being open to new things outside of their comfort zone.

College and Careers - Alex Rivera

Alex Rivera, class of 2020, has been in the program for one year and joined because he found the camping and exploring activities very interesting. 

 

The College and Careers V.P. is in charge of getting Venturers thinking about the direction of their future. The College and Careers V.P. will help highlight how colleges, universities, and technical schools can create opportunities to help discover careers they will love.

Personal Finance and Management - Mark Puente

Mark Puente, class of 2018, has been in the program for one year and joined because he wanted to do something to keep him active his senior year. 

The Personal Finance & Management V.P. is in charge of introducing Venturers to strategies that will help them get the most out of their money while keeping it in order.  The Personal Finance & Management V.P. will research and present the best lifestyle & money management strategies relevant to current Venturers that will make a lasting impact.

Community and Charitable Services - Nicholas Delgado

Nick Delgado, class of 2018, has been in the program for a year and half and joined because his friend encouraged him to.

 

The Community & Charitable Services V.P. is in charge of organizing Venturers to help make positive impacts on the lives of others. The Community & Charitable Services V.P. will make improvements to increase Venturer participation and to help Venturers realize the importance of helping others.

Community and Charitable Services - Mario Moreno

Mario Moreno, class of 2020, has been in the program for one year and joined because he enjoys camping and hiking.

 

The Community & Charitable Services V.P. is in charge of organizing Venturers to help make positive impacts on the lives of others. The Community & Charitable Services V.P. will make improvements to increase Venturer participation and to help Venturers realize the importance of helping others.

Marketing and Recruiting - Jocelyn Terrazas

Jocelyn Terrazas, class of 2018, has been in the program for two years and joined because she knew it was going to be a good experience. She also enjoys how much Felix gets involved with the Ventures. 

 

The goal of Marketing & Recruiting V.P. is in charge of showing people what they are missing out on and showing them how easy it is to be a part of Felix Ventures.  The Marketing & Recruiting V.P.’s will explain what is required to join Felix Venturers and clarify any misconceptions about the program.

Marketing and Recruiting - Linda Brand

Linda Brand, class of 2021, has been in the program for one year. Linda joined because she wanted to experience new and fun memories. 

 

The goal of Marketing & Recruiting V.P. is in charge of showing people what they are missing out on and showing them how easy it is to be a part of Felix Ventures.  The Marketing & Recruiting V.P.’s will explain what is required to join Felix Venturers and clarify any misconceptions about the program.

Training - Angel Caro

Angel Caro, class of 2021, has been in the program for one year and joined since he thought it would benefit him. 

 

The Training V.P. is in charge of teaching Venturers simple essential skills that will be useful to navigate through our activities and life.  The Training V.P. will need to create strategies to get Venturers to understand why it’s important to learn, practice, and teach these skills to other Venturers.

Training - Jackie Alvarez

Social Media - Alex Toledo

Alex Toledo, class of 2019 and has been in the program for three years and joined to make new friends. He was also interested in going camping and make new memories.

The Social Media V.P. is in charge of keeping the world up-to-date with what’s going on in Felix Ventures.  The Social Media V.P.’s must be able to make time to stay in touch with the community that is following Felix Ventures and trying to reach those that haven’t found Felix Ventures yet.

Web - Briana Rojo

Briana Rojo, class of 2018, has been in the program for two years and joined for the new experiences. She is grateful for all the things she has learned and the friendships that will last forever. 

 

Web V.P. is in charge of taking Felix Ventures to the professional level by providing the world with clear and organized description of what Felix Ventures does and why Felix Ventures is important. The Web V.P. will need time to develop professional web skills to keep up with any changes.

Administrative Historian - Jeffrey Rodriguez

Jeffrey Rodriguez, class of 2020, has been in the program for two years and joined to have an experience outside the city life. He enjoys the adventures as well.

 

The Administrative Historian V.P. is in charge of keeping the Felix Ventures legacy alive by collecting and organizing all the fun memories throughout the year. The Administrative Historian V.P.’s are responsible for creating, editing and logging pictures, scrapbooks, slide shows, and videos.

Administrative Historian - Christopher Gervacio

The Administrative Historian V.P. is in charge of keeping the Felix Ventures legacy alive by collecting and organizing all the fun memories throughout the year. The Administrative Historian V.P.’s are responsible for creating, editing and logging pictures, scrapbooks, slide shows, and video.

Historian - Stacey Gutierrez

Stacey Gutierrez, class of 2020, has been in the program for two years and joined to get out of her comfort zone and make new friends.

 

Historians V.P. is in charge of being at the right place, at the right time to capture all the LOL, tear jerking, OMG, fun filled crazy moments on our Venture activities.  Historians V.P.’s are responsible for being active all the time and working with Venturers to make sure they can get the best shot possible.

Historian - Bryan Balbuena

Quartermaster - Christian Cuevas

Christian Cuevas, class of 2018,  has been in the program for one year and joined to explore the world.

 

Quartermasters V.P. is in charge of maintaining all equipment organized and clean. They are responsible for assigning and collecting equipment for each activity and in charge of packing all equipment before every trip.

Quartermaster - Joshua Castaneda

Joshua Castaneda, class of 2021, has been in the program for one year and joined because it motivates him to be a better leader and team member.

Quartermasters V.P. is in charge of maintaining all equipment organized and clean. They are responsible for assigning and collecting equipment for each activity and in charge of packing all equipment before every trip.
