Over the past 22 years, Felix Ventures has offered college guidance and financial assistance to its seniors thru scholarships. Over the years, the program has expanded its goal of helping students reach their educational goals by providing more specialized counseling and college guidance as well as adding three spectacular college campus tour itineraries.
Through our events, we educate, assist, and guide students in the life-long process of career exploration and planning for the future. Felix Ventures encourages its members to graduate high school, attend college, and build a career for themselves.
Every year we offer thousands of dollars to our graduating seniors that have been active in our program and have helped our program grow thru their leadership and contributions. Besides scholarships, venturers are able to earn a multiple array of awards thru specific participation in different aspects of our program and thru leadership. East Coast College Campus Tours
When: October
High achieving Venturers are selected and invited to travel to Massachusetts and visit several college campuses and explore the historic city of Boston. The itinerary always includes Harvard and Williams College and the trip is tailored to visit campuses based on the interest of the group and qualifications. Students will have the opportunity to dine in university dining halls, attend classes, dorm, and participate in various college activities and sporting events.
CTCL College Campus Tours
When: October
High achieving Venturers are selected and invited to travel to Ohio and visit several college campuses that comprise part of the "Colleges that Change Lives" (CTCL Organization). The itinerary is tailored to visit campuses based on the interest of the group and qualifications. Students will have the opportunity to dine in university dining halls, attend classes, dorm, and participate in various college activities and sporting events.
Northern California College Campus Tours
When: April
This college tour is a road trip that lasts four to six days and includes a variety of CSU's, UC's and Private schools so that ventures can figure what is the best type of college for them. Students tour college campuses, explore the surrounding area, sit in classes, participate in college activities, sporting events, and eat in dinning halls. Students who apply to attend the Northern California College Campus Tours must meet academic criteria to be eligible.
San Diego College Campus Tours
When: February
Students who apply must meet the academic criteria to be eligible. Our four day road trip includes a variety of CSU's, UC's and Private schools in the San Diego area. Students tour college campuses, explore the surrounding areas, sit in classes, participate in college activities, sporting events, and eat in dinning halls.
College Bike Hikes
When: September to October
Ventures get to train for our annual 55 mile bike hike and tour a local college campus from Workman High School to Cal Poly Pomona or Azusa Pacific University. After reaching their destination, students get to eat on campus, tour, and meet current college students.
